Only 10 minutes drive from us is 'La Maison Ancienne'
it is a beautiful and fully restored 4 bedroomed farmhouse set in the
heart of the French countryside.
The house is one half of a 16th century Charentaise
farmhouse, constructed from the stones of an 11th Century Abbey, which
was destroyed in the Religious Wars of 1574. So staying there is not just
a holiday - it is a step back into history.
